Note left by Stefanie, Antonia & Norbert, February 2012. Thank you for everything!  We have enjoyed the 2 nights (and breakfasts) at your lovely house a lot!  We are hoping to see you soon again.

Card from Peter & Val, August 2011: Just a note to thank you for a most enjoyable stay at your splendid country home.  It is certainly an amazing house with such interesting history and set in a lovely location. Journey back ….

Trip Advisor, July 2011:  … Run by a cheerful and witty host, Frances, it is without a doubt the best B+B I have ever stayed in.  The setting and surroundings are charming and rural to the point of disbelief – this home and its environs are more like something out of a fable or a painting than something one would think to find in real life. …  Out of the eight hotels I stayed in on my trip, this was the most enjoyable.  I would even say that it may be the best hotel/B+B experience I have ever had.  Unforgetable!

Trip Advisor, June 2011:  … As conclusion I can say that this B & B house is a lovely and beautiful place with a magical garden and I recommend this place to everyone, who likes to escape the busy world for a couple of days.

Trip Advisor, May 2011:  After finding Copyhold Hollow on the internet I thought, could it really be that idyllic?  The answer is YES!.  I gasped with joy when we arrived and got our first sight of this stunning period home, with the most beautiful garden leading up to an old established wood …  We wanted a peaceful and relaxing break, and boy this place definitely didn’t disappoint! In addition to all this was our delightful host, Frances, who was so welcoming and deservedly passionate about this charming little haven that she has lovingly restored and developed, and who I have to say cooks a mean breakfast!

Trip Advisor, May 2011:  My girlfriend and I stayed for 4 nights over the Royal Wedding bank holiday.  The location, the house and service (and garden!) are first rate and I can’t recomend it enough.  There are some excellent walks in the vicinity and a variety of good pubs in nearby Lindfield.

Trip Advisor, 30 March 2011:  Stayed for 5 days as part of a relocation investigation – needed to try the commute to London and suss out the local area and look at a few houses.  Frances was exceptionally helpful, giving us advice on locations, houses and a huge wealth of local information. She was extremely accommodating with most of our families showing up at some stage.

Card from Kathy and her daughter, Sarah, February 2011:  We’ve had a lovely week with you, neither of us want to go home!  Thank you for making us feel so welcome in your beautiful house.  I’ve so enjoyed my wanders round your garden and would love to come back and see it in another season.  Thank you so much.

Trip Advisor, Feb 2011:   I stayed here a few times over the period of a couple of months.  Sampled different rooms and found what I was looking for.  A quiet break in a lovely setting.  Great hospitality and a good breakfast to start the day with.  Main sitting room has a huge wood log fire which was welcome over the cold snowy Christmas period.

Trip Advisor, January 2011:  What a wonderful and memorable experience!  As a young Aussie woman traveling solo I was a little worried about how I’d go in an old country B&B, but Frances’ friendliness, flexibility and quirkiness made me feel comfortable and at home from the very beginning.  Her recommendations and advice were spot on and she obviously loves what she does.

Trip Advisor, January 2011:  I had the pleasure of staying at Copyhold Hollow for two weeks, whilst working locally.  Frances greeted us with a warm welcome and a nice pot of tea by the open fire, having stayed in a lot of B&B’s, hotels etc all over the U.K., I found this one to be the best.  The rooms were spotlessly clean.

Trip Advisor, January 2011:  Amazing little gem in a perfect, quiet location.  The house is full of character and is cozy and very inviting – just like its owner. All in all it felt like home – we will definitely be going back!  Anyone looking for a period house and some wonderful country walks just outside the front door we would definitely recommend it!
