From Copyhold Hollow cycle up to Ardingly, turn left at the T junction and once out of the village turn right down Cob Lane. Once you have negotiated Cob Hill (steep decline) it is a steady climb up a narrow lane to West Hoathly. Very pretty village, The Cat and Fox Revived pubs. Then onward to Ashdown Forest. Or you can return via Highbrook.
