Winter Colour in the Garden
It may be mid-winter but already the garden is full of colour. Snowdrops, iris, daffodils, crocus, cyclamen coum, hellebores, lonicera fragrantissima, skimmia, Rhododendron praecox, Rhododendron “bric a brac” are just some of the plants in bloom in the woodland and the rockery. The stumpery, inspired by a visit to Highgrove, created last winter has bedded down well and looks good.
National Garden Scheme open days for 2011 are Saturday and Sunday, 21 and 22 May but the garden is best seen early morning and evening.
